Gazi University Turkic World Application and Research Center (TURKDAM) organized a "2nd Anniversary of Victory" on November 8, 2022 at 14.00. On the anniversary of Shusha is Ours, Karabakh is Ours, Karabakh is Azerbaijan." program was realized. On the 2nd anniversary of the Karabakh victory, numerous Azerbaijani flags were flown on the central campus of Gazi University.

Rector of Gazi University Prof. Dr. Musa Yildiz, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ankara Rashad Mammadov, Educational Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ankara Prof. Dr. Necibe Nesibova, Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, Former Rector of Gazi University Prof. Dr. Enver Hasanoğlu, Rector of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Prof. Dr. Cafer Jafarov and Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eldar Aslanov,  Gazi University Turkic World Application and Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Alev Çakmakoğlu Kuru, Deputy Director and program presenter Prof. Dr. Bülent Aksoy, academicians, students, guests and members of the press participated.

Program; It was started with a short film show after a moment of silence and the singing of national anthems. Following the screening of the short film, Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız made the opening speeches. In his speech, he thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the program and talked about the nature of the day. "Today, on November 8, we celebrate our great victory over the Armenian forces whose oppression we have been fighting for many years. We showed the existence of Turkish unity, the power of the Turk and the personality of the Turk to the whole world. The Turkish nation will know how to unite to protect their homeland in the future as it has been for centuries," Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız said, "... live happily in its tricolor flag, dear Azerbaijan."

Rector of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Prof. Dr. Jafar Jafarov stated in his opening remarks that together with Gazi University, they will act together to prepare young people for the future in the best way and made speeches on our unity.

Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar shared his feelings and thoughts about Karabakh with the participants and said, "... We academics can carry the lands that our ancestors dried up by shedding blood with knowledge and technology only by sweating."Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti Ankara Büyükelçisi Reşad Memmedov, “Bu savaş yalnız Azerbaycan’ın savaşı değildi, bütün dünyada kendini Türk hisseden herkesin savaşıydı.” sözleriyle konuşmasında Türk birliğine değindi ve duygu yüklü bir açılış konuşması gerçekleştirdi.

After the opening speeches, Gazi University TURKDAM Director Prof. Dr. Alev Çakmakoğlu Kuru talked about the programs on Azerbaijan held at our university in the last two years and held a conference on the historical cultural monuments destroyed by Armenians in our occupied lands until victory. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eldar Aslanov, Vice-Rector of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, gave a lecture on "Patriotic War and Its Consequences" and gave information to the participants about the traces of that period and its reflections on society.

After the conferences, the artist of the Turkic world Ahmet Şafak told the story of the Karabakh composition online. Afterwards, a musical recital titled "Our Common Voice, Çırpınırdın Karadeniz" was performed jointly by the faculty members of the Department of Music Education of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and the Department of Music Education of the Gazi Faculty of Education of Gazi University. After the plaque presentation ceremony and photo shoot, the exhibition in front of the Gazi University Rectorate Building was started. The exhibition of Mahire Huseynova's poems and photographs of the Karabakh Victory was visited. Finally, the settlement of the inscription "Karabakh Tree", which represents 613 martyrs with sycamore leaves and har-ı nightingales with Turkish-Azerbaijani flags on it, was carried out. The program ended with photo shoots.
